Tang Yuan

Last night some girls taught
Andrea how to make "Tang Yuan".

1. Use rice flour and water to make a compact dough
2. Roll it into little balls
3. Shape them into mushroom tops
4. Put some filling inside
5. Reshape the balls
6. Drop them into boiling water

We used a sesame filling and some food coloring.
A little glutenous, but good!

  2. Well, E thought them to be a bit glutenous, but I thought they were alright. You can't eat too many of them though at one time. Like 4 is good. And ya, they get cooked... but like noodles or dumplings or any dough boiled in water.

  3. Have you ever seen Baby Mama? They kind of remind of (the way the look) the yeast ball they eat at the vegan restaurant.
I'm sure they are delish though.
Andrea, you will need to share some recipes with us!
