Mold Patrol

When there's a fungal foe
That's just gotta go
Who ya gonna call?
Mold Patrol!

When there's something black
That you don't want back
Who ya gonna call?
Mold Patrol!

When there's something green
That you gotta clean
Who ya gonna call?
Mold Patrol!

Macau

From Hong Kong we took a ferry to the island of Macau for a day.

It used to be a Portuguese colony, so many of the signs are in Portuguese and Chinese.

Religious beliefs
seem varied and mixed.

We saw Catholic churches,
temples outside homes and businesses,
and Robert Morrison's grave.

We got to try some local
food too! Eric did a great job eating a rather large sardine.

Noah's Ark

Another thing we saw in Hong Kong was a to-scale replica of Noah's Ark.
Pretty sweet! Lots of animals around the outside as well as a rope's course, bike track, and gift shop. Inside you walked through the ark exhibit learning about the history, watching a 3D movie, and seeing what explorers are doing today to find the original ark. You can even stay in the hotel inside if you want!

Hong Kong - a nice break

This past week we went to Hong Kong for about five days.
Here are some highlights from our first couple days.

Our room.
A little small, but fine for sleeping.

On the street.
They drive on the left side and have double-decker busses

Taking "the escalators".
The longest outdoor escalator system in the world.
On the way up we stopped at a grocery store and discovered cereal, granola bars, decaf coffee, and Tim Tams!
On the long hike down we stopped for Mexican food!
